Culture and Literature

ULYO arranges Lahu literature training for children and evening classes for adults who are not familiar with Lahu literature in Summer time. We arrange Lahu cultural dances and musical instrument training as they have been traditionally practiced, i.e. passed down from the elders to the young over a period of years. We have round table discussions on Lahu Literature and Culture with the Lahu Culture and Literature Committee, which includes old men and women from surrounding areas. We distribute papers about Literature and Culture among young people in summer when the Lahu community holds Youth Training. We also encourage our youth to make traditional clothes and to attempt to
Preserve our Lahu history and cultural heritage.
